Many hot water boilers used in winter are closed, and we cannot ignore the maintenance of hot water boilers to prevent corrosion problems inside and outside the furnace. So, do you know how to maintain an hot water boiler after shutdown?
1. After the hot water boiler is turned off and cooled, the ash and slag on the upper part of the grate and the lower part of the furnace body are completely removed.
2. Maintain a certain degree of ventilation in the flue. Generally, to prevent moisture, desiccants should be placed in the stove and flue. If quicklime is used as a desiccant, about 3kg of quicklime should be placed in each cubic meter of furnace or flue, and all ventilation doors should be closed after placement. Quicklime needs to be replaced when it turns pink. If the boiler room is in a low-lying position and the ground is heavily flooded during the shutdown, the method of regular low-fire baking and setting a desiccant should be used. If the boiler has been shut down for a long time, after the smoke and dust have been completely removed, apply red tan oil or other anticorrosive paint on the metal surface outside the furnace.
3. The furnace body anti-corrosion maintenance method should be determined according to the length of the furnace shutdown. Generally, the furnace shutdown time not more than one month can be used for wet repair, and more than one month is dry maintenance.
Wet maintenance, suitable for hot water boilers with a shutdown period of not more than one month. After closing, the furnace water will be released, cleaned and filled with clean water, cut off the power and close the valve.
Dry maintenance means that after the furnace is closed, the boiler water is released, the dirt in the furnace is cleaned, the boiler is dried with a low fire, and then all pipeline valves are closed and inspected every three months after the boiler gas is completely discharged.
